Ellen Ross is a singer based in Boulder, Colorado. She primarily performs as a jazz vocalist, but her wide vocal range and silky-smooth tone translate effortlessly to folk and pop music as well.

During her college years at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Ellen performed with the esteemed Wisconsin Singers, directed by Scott Foss, who currently serves as Music Editor for Hal Leonard Choral Publications. The group performed 50+ concerts each year, with custom musical arrangements written by Mac Huff, one of leading choral arrangers in the music industry.

As a soloist, Ellen loves to use her voice as a medium to share the story in the lyrics of a song, but also loves to sing complex vocal harmonies as part of a vocal jazz ensemble. She performed with the Vocal Q’s, a jazz quartet started by Marguerite Juenemann, a founding member of Rare Silk, as well as After Hours, with Trist Curless, current member of Manhattan Transfer.

Ellen has performed throughout the area at festivals and jazz clubs including the Winter Park Jazz Festival, City Park Jazz, Taste of Denver, Dazzle, Jazz at Jack’s, and Nissi’s.
